1. Networking meeting for the project UIC4UHFMRI

20.08.2025 -

On August 7, 2025, the first networking meeting within the framework of the research project Universal Integrated Console for Ultra-High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging (UIC4UHFMRI) took place at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.  The participating chairs of OVGU came together with the associated partners – the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut (FBH), Leibniz Institute for High Frequency Technology, Berlin, the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP), Frankfurt (Oder), Neoscan Solutions, Magdeburg, the University Medical Center Freiburg, the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Heidelberg, and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Radiology.

At the heart of the meeting was a lively exchange on the first steps of the project, the refinement of joint plans, and the identification of synergies for close and trustful collaboration. Particular attention was given to questions of technical implementation, the interconnection of individual work packages, and opportunities to accelerate scientific progress through mutual expertise and support.

The networking meeting thus marked not only the official starting point of the joint project work, but also the beginning of a promising interdisciplinary cooperation. It laid the foundation for a long-term and successful partnership between academic research, clinical application, and industrial development – with the overarching goal of advancing medical imaging to a new technological level.

The project partners look forward with confidence to the next steps and to continuing a constructive and successful collaboration in the future.
